The 2018 Pre Wedding Photography Guide

What is a Pre-Wedding Photoshoot?

A pre-wedding shoot is a concept in which a to be married couple gets their photoshoot done three to six months before their marriage. It features the couple in different ways depending on the concept of the shoot. There are various kind of shoots varying from miniature to destination based, from fairytale romance to typical Bollywood romance and many more. You can choose any kind of concept that suits you the most.

It is becoming more and more popular and is in demand these days.
A pre-wedding shoot helps you in many ways such as- it helps you to create a good relationship with the photographer especially if you are hiring the same for the wedding. It helps you to understand his style of work. If you are a photographer, a pre-wedding shoot helps you to understand the couple. You can know about how close they are, how formal or casual the couple is, etc.

By knowing all this, you can create a suitable concept for them that will suit you and the couple during your pre-wedding shoot and wedding shoot as well.
A pre-wedding shoot also helps the couple as these are the most romantic time of their lives and they are worth storing. By having a pre-wedding shoot you can create everlasting memories and can revive them anytime.

A pre-wedding shoot depends on a lot of factors and you can always change them according to your needs and preferences. You need to combine all of them to create a final concept.

Some of them are as follows-

1. Location

Location is one of the major parts of a pre-wedding shoot as it is the base of the concept. Different shoot location provides different themes. For example- Neemrana Fort in Jaipur will provide a royal theme to your photo shoot, The Perfect Location in Faridabad can provide 30+ themes to your photo shoot, ranging from musical theme to camp bonfire, Dadhikar Fort is a good heritage location for a shoot.

You can check our previous shoots at these locations in the following links-

2. Costume

Costumes have the tendency to make or break your shoot. A beautiful costume can always make you look even more beautiful. Nowadays, twinning has emerged as a trending way of dressing for photoshoots. It gives a very cute appearance to the couple and makes them look adorable. You can always choose it if you like.

3. Makeup

Makeup is required for a shoot to make you look a bit more beautiful than you already are! A pre-wedding shoot is a time-consuming process, that is why you are advised to use high-quality products so that your makeup does not get patchy. You are also advised to change your makeup with the change of outfit as different outfits have different requirements. Makeup that compliments the outfit makes your appearance look more elegant and attractive.

4. Props

Using pre-wedding props is a simple way which acts like a cherry on the cake if used properly. If you are short of ideas then try using different props and give expressions according to them. Props can make even a simple shoot look attractive as they define a meaning to the picture.

5. Song selection

Selecting the perfect song for a pre-wedding is very an important as well as a difficult task. If you are confused between different songs then focus on one factor, i.e. select the song which suits your love story the best. Listen to the lyrics of the song, listen to its tune and finalise the one which suits your personalities and the one you have some memories with.

6. Storyline

Having a storyline adds meaning to your video, especially if it’s a musical one. You can get your love story portrayed on the song that suits it the best and can relive it anytime you want.

These were some of the most important factors required for a perfect pre-wedding shoot.

Following are some Video Tailor pre-wedding guidelines for the same-

VIDEO TAILOR : Guidelines : Pre Wedding

Before Shoot:
  • All the requirements by you should be finalized in the booking sheet, (it’s approval will be taken by you over email) and any verbal commitment by the Marketing person should also be added in the booking sheet as your Project Manager/Creative Director will most likely be different from the Marketing Person. Also, all our team is booked as per the booking sheet.

  • 50% advance payment for booking. This advance is non-refundable because when we commit dates to you, we turn away other enquiries and lose potential business.

At the time of shoot:
  • Travelling and food for Delhi NCR as well as outside delhi shoots will be borne by the client.

  • If at any event, our team does not reach at the given time by you, proportional amount will be refunded from your booking amount.

  • We also provide props on pre weddings. The list for the same will be shared with you while booking.
After the shoot:
  • For Images editing, we do color correction, face enhancement, lens flare and few add ons. But changing the complete background location of where the image has been taken , is not feasible. Its doable in editing, but it can be done for 3-4 images, not for the whole set of images.
  • Song needs to be finalized before starting the edit. And only one time change in the song selection is possible with two round of changes in the overall video. You are more than welcome to get the video edited in our post production office as well.
  • We need at least 10 days to edit the video.  Urgent changes with a timeline of less than 2 days, are not assured by our team. Minimum 3 days should be provided for any changes in the video.
  • Remaining 30% payment with watermarked edited images will be given.
  • Remaining 20% payment with final unmarked edited images/video/album will be given
