Aerial Photography- Do's & Dont's

Why Aerial Photography?

Aerial photography has attracted many with its innovative techniques. This is the unique way of making memory everlasting. While some people consider minute details before shooting, others just go barmy and want to click immediately. The big question is why should you go for drone photography? So, every time you click a photograph, don't you want it to be perfect and unique in its own way? Drone photography adds just that punch to every single of your photographs. Normally, these photographs are taken vertically from an aircraft using highly accurate camera which makes them a class apart.

Here Are Some Do's And Dont's of Aerial Photography:

What to do? How to do? When to do?

These are some of the questions that keep revolving in mind while a drone photography shoot. Now, to get it done perfectly you must have enough knowledge up your sleeve to handle the situation.

Here are the do's :

a. Learn how to fly - Learning before actually flying is an important aspect to consider specially due to safety reasons. This training is given using the virtual reality gears or by an instructor who demands to be followed by his trainees.

b. Consider lightning and shadows -  Not every shot you click will be perfect. Some factors are completely intractable but have a major effect on outcome. Shadow consideration just as associated with regular photography is also important for drone photography. To liquidate the effect of shadows, do consider the sun and the moon directions at the respective time of the shoot.

c. Consider Insurance - Now, that might sound awkward. Why would anyone want to get there drone insured?  Imagine, a wayward gust of wind blowing away your drone, an angry bird that hits straight into it or the controller losing control of it. Some situations are completely beyond control and can put your business on hold. Getting liability insurance for your drone would only cost you as much as a second drone. But it can save you a heck lot of money.

d. Plan a good location -  A good location is one that far off from a hustling street, a market place and residential area etc.. All these locations are not apt to get the clicks you want to make your experience worthy.

e.Set the right shutter speed - Right shutter speed is important for aerial captures. In order to avoid any kind of motion blur, you have to use every tool possible to keep the shutter speed as fast as possible.

Here are the dont's :

a. Don't invest a lot initially - Investment made reflects on the quality of work . But during the initial phase when you have to learn every aspect from handling to clicking shots, do not invest a huge sum. You might crash, might lose it in a tree or might break your propellers.

b. Don't fly over people - While you might think of a crowded beach or a holiday destination as a perfect place for you to fly drone and get the perfect shots, it is actually the opposite. You, are not permitted to fly drones where it is flooded with people, due to security security reasons.

c. Don't fly after dark - It is recommended not to fly after dark even if your drone has night lights. Specially, during the dawn or dusk phase when the light percentage varies every minute. Therefore, 30 minutes before or after the respective periods flight should be avoided.

d.Don't fly above allowable altitude - How high can you fly your drone ? As a general recommendation you are not allowed to fly it above 400 feet or 121 meter. The following limit persists drones from coming in contact with the manned aircraft such as the plane or helicopter. Rules may vary from country to country so check your local aviation authority before flying drone.

e. Don't fly into fireworks - Only if every wish came true and laws were secondary to all, it would have been possible to fly drones in the firework. Many large fireworks are setup in "safe zones" established by coast guards. But it still does not guarantee a 100 percent success. They still have the possibility of hitting your drone and eventually landing you up in trouble.

VIDEO TAILOR :

The following is a video by video tailor using the drone for NG GRANDE. This work is simply terrific suggesting all the benefits of the place along with the facilities easily accessible for the end user. The shoot gives a clear view of the apartment.
